Single Screen Ticket Rates hiked in AP

In Muncipalities & Corporations

For Air Conditioned : 60/- Max

For Air Cooled ( Most of Hyd ) : 55/- Max

Non A/C : 30/- Max

In Other Centres

For Air Conditioned : 40/- Max

For Air Cooled : 30/- Max

Non A/C : 25/- Max

AP State Government finally agreed to allow the iminent Ticket rate hike in Single Screens by Rs 5/- & 10/- for Non A/C & A/C theatres respectively. The Maximum limit ( except special cases ) a Single Screen A/C theatre can charge lies at at 60/- now and a Non A/C theatre can charge upto 40/-. Most importantly the hike is applicable for all classes in the theatre. The hike is into immediate effect and Theatre managements are free to chose from when.

The Big Producers finally managed to get what they are fighting for from the last year or so. Although it is just a marginal increase in Ticket Prices in the state, it will have a huge impact on the Theatrical shares with every ticket earning a 3-8 Rs extra.
