At Filmfare Awards Press Meet on Friday, Ram Charan Tej defended Tollywood Heroines by insisting that they do turn up for film award functions. He was countering the allegation made by Dasari Narayana Rao, who had said that the actresses spend more time in inaugurating showrooms than gracing award functions.
Charan remarked that Dasari was wrong in saying that heroines avoid award functions. I have seen them attending award functions. He also rejected another allegation made by Dasari that the Nandi awards are fixed.
