The Hindi film Three Idiots was a super duper hit throughout India. Amir Khan, Madhavan and Salman Joshi were the three heroes of this film. This film is being remade in Tamil now. Gemini Film Circuit is producing the film which is being directed by Shankar. The film is titled Nanban. 

Initially there was news that Vijay will be donning the important role which Amir Khan did in the Hindi film. Later on there were news that Vijay has come out of the film and Surya will act in his place. Now there is confirmed news that Vijay has been signed to do the lead role. Now the confusion that who will do the lead role in Three Idiots has come to an end. 

Surya is not acting in this film. Srikanth and Jeeva will be sharing the screen with Vijay in this film. The shooting of this film has commenced in Ooty. Sathyaraj is also donning an important role in this film. Ileana is doing the female lead role while S J Suryah, Anuya and Ajay Rathnam are also in important roles. Vijay will join the shooting from February 25th.
