Varun Tej makes his mark with Mukunda

Sreekanth Addala`s `Mukunda` has turned out to be a Decent debut in the end for Varun Tej. The film despite Considerably big competition in `Chinnadana Ne Kosam` & `PK`  and not so favourable Reviews or Mouth Talk, still has managed to collect Decent figures all over. It has earned around 11-12 Cr Share WW in 2 weeks and has proved to be a Decent debut for the Tall and handsome Actor who is now being called as Mega Prince by Mega Fans.

Mukunda did especially good in East & West where it is a safe venture for Buyers when we include SG, MG`s & Hires. It has had a wide release there and has proved to be crowd puller in the initial Week and is in-fact ending up as winner amongst X-Mas Releases. As for Overseas, Mukunda has managed to collect a Share of 75 Lacs which is pretty good for a Debut Hero which even `Alludu Seenu` hasn`t been able to manage. Mega Following, Varun Tej`s good Screen Presence and Sreekanth Addala`s Brand value worked in favour of the film in the strongholds and wherever it did reasonably well.

On the flip-side, The film could have been better edited with Unnecessary songs and Lengthy Dialogues at times spoiling the mood. Also, it should have been conveyed properly to audience in promotions, as to what to expect from the flick. 

`Mukunda` has proved that Varun is here to stay and he just needs a right script which eventually will happen. Debut film`s have more or less underperformed for Mega Heroes and Varun should do a lot better with his 2nd with a lot of positives already on his side compared to his cousins.
