The following are the Top 5 Best films purely based upon content & critical acclaim and got nothing to do with their Box-office.

1. Attatrintiki Daaredi

The Best film of the year and also the Biggest Earner! - Rarely do such things happen in the `commercial pot-boiler` friendly Tollywood. Trivikram`s script, Pawan`s performance & DSP`s music are the 3 main reasons for the tremendous positive response it got both from critics & general audience. The film went on to become an Indutry Hit against heavy odds in terms of piracy & political uncertainty.

2. Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu

If not for Attarintiki Daaredi, SVSC would have taken the top slot easily. Sreekanth Addala`s innocent family entertainer, SVSC brings back many beautiful memories from yester years. For two nd half hours, one will love this concept of `Vasudhaika Kutumbam` and would dream for it in their lives. Credit goes to Dil Raju for trusting the script and making the film and also Venkatesh & Mahesh for agreeing to do it. The `Seeta` Anjali deserves a special mention here.

3. Mallela Teeramlo Sirimalle Puvvu

This small mostly unnoticed film surely is one of the best to come out of Tollywod this year. The film, a passionate romantic drama traces the love story of an young married woman & a writer.  Budding actress, Sri Divya`s performance is the main pillar of this film apart from Director GV Ramaraju`s writing. It is like a poetry flowing on your screen whose feel can only be explored by watching it.

4. Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde

The Romantic entertainer directed by Vijay Kumar Konda is a major success both critically & commercially. The film released in Summer, has went on to become 1 of the blockbusters of the year thanks to its appeal to youth & families. Typical Rom-Com told with an interesting narration makes it one of the best films of the year.

5. Mirchi

This family oriented action entertainer from Koratala Siva is also a major success both critically & commercially. The film released in February which is generally considered a dull period for Big releases went on to become 1 of the best earners of this year. Mirchi`s family angle and mostly convincing action sequences makes it 1 of the best entertainers this year. Prabhas`s all round performance is another major asset apart from KSiva`s writing.
