Review : Aagadu

Mahesh`s Aagadu is an Action Entertainer which appeals to his Fans.

Story :

Encounter Shankar ( Mahesh ), a Powerful Cop (CI) is transferred to Bukkapatnam ( ATP District ) to handle the Atrocities of Damodar ( Sonu Sood ). He starts cornering his binami`s one by one aiming to destroy his Danda. But it is personal too and What is the connection between Shankar & Damodar and his Revenge forms the rest.

Performances:

Mahesh managed to deliver a very good Performance. He is the main positive of this film. Rajendra Prasad & Sonu Sood are ordinary. Tamanna is so so. Brahmi is adequate. MS Narayana is irritating. Others are adequate & okay.

Technical Departments:

Music: Thaman did a Decent job. The Intro & Item songs are well shot. The Numbers on the lead pair should have been better. BGM is Loud and strictly Okay.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: It is `Over` Racy. Plenty of abrupt cuts and too lengthy.

Stunts: Typical Commercial stunts.

Story,Screenplay & Direction :

The film reminds us of some Old Hits like Gabbar Singh & Dookudu and more or less is a rehashed version of both. Srinu Vaitla`s Script is a flat one which doesn`t give any relief to the audience to breath. Right from the word go it goes on and on with Punch Dialogues & fights. The director in his desperation to prove himself as a good writer who can stand on his own has concentrated more on Mahesh & Dialogues than on Script. It is a flat film which mainly appeals to the fans. Most of the characters are loud all the time which is honestly speaking, irritating. The 1st half is about a Rebelous & Entertaining Police and is al-right. The 2nd half is Completely Predictable Hero - Villain - Bakra drama and falls flat. Comedy in the film is good in parts and some how manages to help hold the attention. Mahesh Performance & Glamour are the saving Graces.

Box-office Verdict

The film will get good openings. And after then it is going to be a big ask to sustain further. But the Holiday Season may help it to some extent with Right Publicity.
