Review : Manam

Manam, one of the much awaited films this Summer is finally here. Vikram, who shot to fame with `Ishq` directed this for Akkineni`s which is considered as a tribute to ANR.

Story :

Even a hint of a plot will spoil all the fun and thrill for you in the theatre. It is an emotional romantic saga of 3 generations!. That`s it, enough is already said here!.

Performances:

Nag delivered one of his Best performances in this film. His Emotions are picture perfect. Chay is fast improving and did an adequate job. What can we say about ANR?, our generation isn`t capable of judging his acting but his screen presence is mesmerising!. Samantha is 1 of the strengths of the film, she did very well. Shriya in a traditional avatar delivered a mature performance. Brahmi, Ali, Saptagiri and etc., are fine. Akhil made a guest appearance and from the looks of it, is the one to watch out for.. in future!.

Technical Departments

Music: Anup did a fabulous job. All Songs are good on screen. His BGM is apt, touching and soothing.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Even at 163 minutes run time, it doesn`t feel like it thanks to the gripping narration and novel story!.

Story,Screenplay & Direction :

Story is an Emotional romance with enough entertainment. The 1st Half largely give you an understanding of the premise and it excels and turns out to be more gripping as it moves into the 2nd. The film Naturally gets some what slowed down then and there only to pick up very soon. Climax is Pretty Good. Both Flashback episodes have been dealt with well. The Novel plot of Mixing 3 different Generations is superb. Very Well done by Vikram K Kumar.

Box-office Verdict

The film is a classic and great tribute to ANR. It is easily 1 of the best films in recent times after Attarintiki Daaredi. It has the potential to do well at the Boxoffice. May well become Akkineni`s best.
