ABO Mini Review : Vikrama Simha

Note : 3D Review

Vikrama Simha, the performance capture animated historic drama is an average film on the whole.

Story : Two rival kingdoms and their in-house issues. Vikrama Simha and his son`s legacy as protectors of their Land.

Story & Screen Play : Good Story line with average screen-play. 1st half feels slow and aimless and picks up leading into interval. As the story unfolds, 2nd half gets better and better. But at the end, one would still feel hard to accept this new experience as a good one due to below par animation. It simply doesn`t connect with audience even in 3D. But the Special effects & Rajini are saving grace.

Performances : It is tough to comment on Performances for this film. The animated characters we felt have not been upto the mark in creating impactful performances. Even in 3D, it is going to be one hell lot of a job remembering who is who all through the film!.

Songs & Background Music : Good Music from ARR and BGM is largely good too, but over the top and loud at times.

Direction : The director`s job is very limited here but Soundarya had a pretty average début.

Plus : Story, Music & Rajini.

Minus : Disconnect & Animation.

Overall Movie Rating : 3 / 5 ( You may try it )

BoxOffice Verdict :

The film was made on a high budget `reportedly` over 100Cr. It all depends on Tamil Version but Telugu prospects are limited.
