ABO Review : 'Happy Birthday'

`Happy Birthday` : A Silly Surreal Comedy!

Story :

Set in an imaginary world where guns are allowed, Happy (Lavanya Tripathi) goes to a Hotel cum Pub for a supposedly surprise party. But strange turn of events and crazy characters make her night almost miserable. Is there a method to this madness?

Performances:

Lavanya Tripathi is hardly convincing and feels like a miscast. Vennela Kishore and Sathya steals the show with meaty roles. Supporting cast are adequate but nothing special.

Technical Departments:

Music: Decent!

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Adequate.

Action : Over the Top.

Analysis :

`Happy Birthday` is a silly comedy with no cohesive narrative or engaging screenplay. The film tries to be all posh and different but ends up totally irritating the audiences with only few good laughs here and there as some saving graces. This is a weird experience and a forgettable one at that.
