ABO Review : A1 Express

`A1 Express` is an ordinary Sports Drama

Story :

Sanju (Sundeep Kishan) lands in Yanam, his uncle’s place. He falls for Lav (Lavanya), a hockey player and follows here everywhere including the Ground where she practices and which has a rich history. An MNC wants to set up their pharma company in the same place the ground is situated with the help of a local minister (Rao Ramesh). Can Sanju help save their ground forms the rest.

Performances:

Sundeep Kishan is convincingly good in the role of a hockey lad. He has certainly gone through a lot of hard work to make this work. Lavanya could have been better but is okay. Rao Ramesh is excellent and Murali Sharma is good. Priyadarshi, Rahul Ramakrishna form an able supporting cast.

Technical Departments:

Music: Decent.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Ordinary.

Stunts: Decent.

Analysis :

`A1 Express` aims to be an Entertaining Sports Drama and ends up as an ordinary, over the top one. The film`s main premise takes center stage only in the 2nd half and 1st half is filled with routine elements. The film certainly scores well on commercial elements but the emotional connect and a proper character graph is missing to make a good impact overall. You may try this but only to kill some time without taking things seriously.
