ABO Review : 'Gang Leader'

‘Gang Leader` is an Overstretched Revenge Comedy!.

Story :

A 300 Cr Bank Robbery in Hyderabad ends with the Getaway Driver (Karthikeya) killing all his 5 mates. Their family members gang-up for revenge with the help of a Crime Writer, Pencil (Nani). How Pencil and gang uncovers the conspiracy and fights back forms the rest.

Performances:

Nani is getting repetitive with his dialogue delivery which is not in sync with the characterisation. He is an able performer and gave his best to this one as well. Karthikeya makes a good impact and dominates the proceedings. Priyanka Mohan is pretty ordinary. Lakshmi, Saranya and the gang are good. Priyadarshi, Vennela Kishore and others are adequate.

Technical Departments:

Music: Ordinary. Background Score is good.

Cinematography: Decent.

Editing: Adequate.

Analysis :

`Gang Leader` is an Overstretched Revenge Comedy with a Predictable Narration. The 1st half of the film is passable but the 2nd isn`t packed with enough in it to be a Decent outing. It runs on a predictable note right from the beginning and the lack of proper thrills doesn`t help the proceedings either. This can be tried to kill some time but go with low expectations.

Box-office Verdict :

The content is probably not good enough to Recover 30 Cr WW Share and the openings aren`t that strong either. This may have to end as a failure at the BO.
