ABO Review : 'Bhaagamathie'

`Bhaagamathie` is a Pretty Much Watchable Thriller!.

Story:

Chanchala (Anushka) is the Personal Secretary of Eeshwar Prasad (Jayaram), a honest minister. To pull the Minister down, Some powers in Central government target Chanchala who is already behind bars. She then gets moved from Jail to Years Old Bhaagamathie Bangla for a Secret Investigation. But Chanchala starts to get haunted by Bhaagamathie and the Cops get rattled. Who is Bhaagamathie and Why is Chanchala behind bars forms the rest.

Performances:

Anushka`s Screen presence and Performance gets all the honors. She is nothing short of brilliant and is really convincing. Popular Malayali Actor Jayaram play a Key role and is good. Asha Sharath, Murali Sharma and Unni Mukundan play supporting characters and are more than adequate.

Technical Departments:

Action/Thrills : Good.

Music: Background Score is a Major asset.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Adequate.

Analysis:

Director Ashok delivers a Thriller which touches upon multiple Genres in the process of finding its logical conclusion yet with an open ending. The film has Plenty of thrills with supernatural elements and a small love story which is connected with an ongoing Political Conspiracy. The 1st half of the film is especially appealing, satisfying the audience who are primarily in it for the thrills. Once the actual plot is revealed it has become predictable. The Screen-play has been worked upon well and tries to connect all the dots in the 2nd half. If you are for some thrilling Entertainment with out compromising much on content, this is your cup of Tea. Of-course there will be a few cinematic liberties and flaws, nevertheless this would be a Pretty Much watchable affair for Majority audiences.
