ABO Review : DJ - Duvvada Jagannadham

`DJ Duvvada Jagannadham` is an Ordinary Action Comedy.

Story :

Duvvada Jagannadham (Allu Arjun) & Family runs Annapurna Caterers in Vijayawada. On the other hand, he also acts as a vigilante named DJ with the help of a police officer (Murali Sharma) in Hyderabad. In a Family Event, Jagannadham meets Pooja (Pooja Hegde) and falls for her. But what follows when DJ realizes a private firm has cheated thousands of people with their savings, forms the rest.

Performances:

This is one film which had its flaws right through but all the actors delivered fine performances and tried their best to overcome a weak script. Allu Arjun is super stylish and at his best as DJ. He is good as Jagannadham too. Pooja Hegde hasn`t got much to play except in songs. Rao Ramesh is superb. Murali Sharma and Posani are good. Subbaraju is a surprise package.

Technical Departments:

Music: Good.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Okay.

Action: Adequate.

Analysis :

`DJ` is a mixed bag with an okay 1st half and an highly ordinary 2nd half. The film`s premise is revealed in the 1st few minutes itself and there aren`t many twists or turns to make it engaging enough in the later parts. Allu Arjun`s Brahmin Role acts as the saving grace for the flick offering some novelty to an otherwise Routine Flick. All this helps the film in 1st half which is the better one of the 2. All The songs have been canned well and Pooja Hegde`s Glam show is another Major Plus. On the flip side, a Routine 2nd half with not many twists or aww moments, this ends as a rather ordinary one.

Box-office Verdict :

The film has to cash in on as much as it can in the initial Weeks. Long Run prospects doesn`t look that rosy going by today`s mixed reports. It may end as Average in terms of Box-office Recovery.
