ABO Review : 'Katamarayudu '

`Katamarayudu` is a Routine Commercial Potboiler.

Story :

Katamaraydu is a powerful Leader in a Rayala Seema village. He lives with his Brothers and is opposed to Love & Marriage as he fears it will lead to their separation. On the other hand, his brothers are already in love and they decide to somehow change his opinion by making him woo Avanthi (Shruthi ), a classical singer. But Avanthi has her own enemies and the rest is all about it.

Performances:

Yet again, a Pawan Kalyan`s One Man show. He fits the bill as the Powerful Katamarayudu and did manage different shades of the character comfortably well. Shruthi Haasan looks a little different from her recent outings but is a good match. The Gang of Brothers did pretty well. Coming to the Gang of villains, Rao Ramesh steals the show once again.

Technical Departments:

Music: The Tunes are ordinary and Background Score is adequate.

Cinematography: Okay.

Editing: Okay.

Action: Adequate.

Analysis :

1st half of this `Veeram` Remake has been executed fairly well with decent mix of action, entertainment and romance. But the 2nd half is poor with the film losing track and getting repetitive with nothing much but action episodes and songs. The Dialogues have been a little plus but the Family Emotions haven`t worked out as well in the film as the Bromance did. Pawan with his Typical Attitude and Mannerisms will be a treat to his fans and they might get satisfied with this. There is nothing exciting in the screen-play with outdated narration which is rather flat and solely depends on Pawan to run the show. Katamarayudu holds good appeal only to Pawan Fans and Masses.

2. Few Action Episodes.

Box-office Verdict :

The film has to cash in on as much as it can in the Opening Week. Long Run prospects doesn`t look rosy going by initial reports. The Best Possible Result one can expect from this is `Average` in terms of Box-office Recovery.
