`Khaidi No.150` is a Paisa Vasool Commercial Pot-boiler with strong social under-current.
Story :
Kaththi Seenu ( Chiranjeevi ) escapes from a Kolkata prison and lands in his home town, Hyderabad. One night he finds his Double `Shankar` when he`s being attacked and saves him. How he then steps into Shankar`s shoes and solves a grave issue the latter`s village has been crippled with is the rest.
Performances:
Megastar is damn good with his two roles. His Comedy Timing is very much intact as well as the strong screen presence. Although he hasn`t done any innovative things with his dances, the Grace and Style is there for every one to see and go gaga about. Tarun Arora hasn`t got much to play with and is okay. Kajal is more than adequate. Ali, Brahmi, Raghubabu, Posani etc., did their job well.
Technical Departments:
Music: DSP`s Ordinary Tunes have been shot well and are a treat on-screen. BGM is Good and elevates the mood.
Cinematography: A Plus.
Editing : Cool.
Stunts: Obviously Over The top at times and Coin fight is Good.
Analysis :
Megs Star`s most awaited comeback film `Khaidi No.150`, a Remake of `Kaththi` is finally here. The film is a Full On Commercial yet Meaningful Movie with strong social undercurrent. The 1st half of the film sets the tone and 2nd half discusses the issues in detail without compromising even one bit on Commercial Values. There is comedy, dance, punch dialogues and almost everything you expect in a mainstream commercial potboiler. Director VV Vinayak has successfully conveyed the message and presented Megastar in a stylish massy manner but the entertainment parts could have been better. It is An easy one time watchable film which will be an even better experience if one connects to the story.
