ABO Review : 'Abhinteri'

Note : Telugu Version Review

`Abhinetri` is a decent and some what different Horror Comedy.

Story :

Devi (Tamannah), a village belly gets married in unexpected circumstances and lands in Mumbai. After starting family in a new house, she starts to get randomly possessed by Ruby who is the last Tenant of that house which is lying vacant for long. The rest is how Ruby uses Devi to fulfill her dreams.

Performances:

Tamannah is fine both as Village Belly and as an Actress. Prabhu Deva is too good and Sonu sood is adequate. Saptagiri is a relief. Murali Sharma and other supporting cast are adequate.

Technical Departments:

Music: Decent Background Score and songs on-screen ooze lots of glamour.

Cinematography: So-so.

Editing: Adequate.

Thrills: Okay, not scary though.

Analysis :

`Abhinetri` follows the standard Template of A New House, Supernatural Possession and the Fun arising out of it. The film has an interesting Plot making it a fairly decent experience. The 2nd half is especially better where the Female Protagonist Takes over the proceedings. Watch it if Horror is your favorite genre but don`t expect any hardcore stuff.

Box-office Verdict :

The film hasn`t received a good opening at the Box-office. Although the content has scope to do decently at the Box-office, it may end as a strictly average one `at best`.
