ABO Review : 'Janatha Garage'

`Janatha Garage` is a Watchable, Emotional Action Drama.

Story :

Janatha Garage, established by Mechanic Satyam (Mohanlal) is a Group of Do-gooders who stand by the helpless against lawlessness, tyranny and politics. Satyam who unfortunately loses his brother, sends the latter`s kid away to Mumbai, so that the kid at-least can have a peaceful normal life. What happens when that Kid (Anand - NTR Jr) is all grown up and coincidentally lands in Hyderabad forms the rest.

Performances:

Mohanlal did a subtle yet powerful act. NTR Jr is excellent in an intense and socially responsible role. Both the leads shared a silent chemistry and delivered very good performances. Sachin Khedkar, Sai Kumar, Suresh, Devayani, Sithara and the Garage Gang are good. Unni Mukundan, Samantha, Nithya Menen, Vidisha, Vijay Kumar and etc.,. are adequate.

Technical Departments:

Music: DSP`s tunes and background score is/are a plus. Title and Item Songs have been shot well.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Adequate.

Action: Stylish but Over The Top at times.

Analysis :

`Janatha Garage` is an emotional action drama where Brilliant Performances of Mohanlal & NTR Jr end up saving the day for Koratala Siva making it a watchable affair. The 1st half of the film is ordinary with a good interval. The 2nd half raises the bar initially and ends ordinarily. Few Episodes have come out very well, especially in the latter half. And as usually Siva delivers the goods with his dialogues. On the whole, it is a power packed social drama which is a decent one time watch. The film has a straight and predictable narration which offers limited scope for twists. A Better style of narration with a little shorter run time would have made this an even better film.

1. Straight and Predictable Narration.

Box-office Verdict :

The film is receiving mixed reports from the Audience. Considering the Content & WoM, it is likely to be an average earner on the whole in Theatrical Recovery.
