Dussera Boxoffice Report

It was really a big festival for Trade this season with 3 big releases in the market. Robo which released on October 1 got biggest openings for this year and had a great second week. Mahesh Khaleja opened on october 7 with a below average talk. Khaleja got good openings from 'A' centres and overall average figures from the first week. Then Brindavanam entered the scene without any hype or hoopla, straightaway opened with positive talk. The soft classy look of the film helped it to grab the family audiences right from day 2. Brindavanam is more or less steady at most of the Territories. Looking at the Monday collection figures one can easily figure out that it is on its way to becoming a success atleast, if not a huge hit. Robo in its 3rd week grabbed the no 2 position this festive week with Khaleja which is in its 2nd week completely sidelined to 3rd position. Apart from the 20 odd 'A' centres, Khaleja's revenue is minimal in the 2nd week.

It was 'Vijaya' Dasami for both Robo and Brindavanam and Maharnavami for Mahesh Khaleja!.
