ABO Mini Review : Tungabhadra

Tungabhadra tries to explore the Early 2000`s style Rural Faction Drama with a Romantic Angle.

Story :

Praja Desam & Jana Rajyam are the two main Rival Parties in the state. In Tadikonda (Guntur) Area, both Parties have warring Factions who are killing each other for Political Hegemony in which Rama Raju (Satya Raj) emerges Victorious. On the other hand, he has a loyal soldier (Adith) and a college going Daughter (Dimple). How their unexpected Romance effects his Life and brings about a change in him forms the rest.

Analysis :

`Tungabhadra` has no relation whatsoever to the river it was named after. The film Tries to explore the Rural Political Faction Drama with equally Important Romantic Angle. It is a fairly predictable Story line with ordinary screen-play. Starts off nicely and is largely okay till the Good Interval Block. The 2nd Half is tad boring and gets melodramatic with Decent and Logical End. An average film which may appeal in parts but ain`t good enough overall. Performances are good and save the film to some extent.

Performances : Entire Cast Did well. Satyaraj, Adith, Dimple and other supporting Cast all did their parts well.

Songs & Background Music : Songs are passable on screen. BGM is good in parts and is adequate.

Direction : Okay. Could have been better in 2nd half.

Plus : Comedy & Performances.

Minus : Predictable & Dragged 2nd Half.

Overall Movie Rating : 2.75 / 5 ( Average )

BoxOffice Verdict :

The film may appeal to B & C Centres. Box-office Prospects will be average.
