Review : Karthikeya

Karthikeya is an Interesting Mystery Thriller. A good watch for its fresh content & narration.

Story :

A Temple in Subrahmanyapuram was shut down for Mysterious reasons. People who want to know about the mystery and talk about this temple are unexpectedly getting killed. Karthik ( Nihkil ) is a medical student sent to the village as part of his college medical camp and is very curious about chasing the mystery. What he finds out is the rest.

Performances:

Nikhil managed a cool and matured performance. He is good both as a lover boy and as a curious mystery chaser and is more smart than his earlier flicks. Swathi has limited scope and is fine. Rao Ramesh,Thanikella Bharani & Kishore are good too.

Technical Departments:

Music: Sekhar Chandra`s Music is okay and songs are well shot and situational. Background score is pretty good and a Major Highlight.

Cinematography: Adequate.

Editing: Fine.

Story, Screenplay & Direction :

The story is an interesting one which keeps everybody guessing until the end. The narration is very engaging although a bit slow at times. 1st half is especially good in the film with a mix of Comedy, Romance & Suspense. The 2nd half is also a decent one but could have been better too. Romantic track between Nikhi & Swathi is good too and is mixed well with the Suspense angle. But the climax evokes mixed reactions depending on one`s own assumptions & expectations when watching through.

This Mystery thriller film almost gives a Horror kind of feel due to the `Snake` involved and manages to thrill the audience to good effect. Overall It is a good watch in the end thanks to its concept and narration.

Box-office Verdict

The film has content which appeals to Urban audiences. Its fate depends on how well they receive it. Most likely to end up as a Boxofice Success to as the initial response is good.
