Mini Review : Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya

Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya tries to chart a different path breaking from the traditional stories but falters in narration.

Story : A 36 Year Old `Young` Hearted Father and his 18 Year old Son fall in love with the same Girl ( 21 ). The film tracks their relation ships blossoming separately and the son coming to know about it later and solving the mess for a Generally acceptable Happy ending.

Analysis : Some how Interesting and Novel Story line with ordinary screen-play. Starts off nicely and is largely okay till the Good Interval Block which is the best part of the film. The 2nd Half is tad boring and gets melodramatic with confused ending. An average film which may appeal in parts but ain`t good enough overall. Performances are good and save the film to some extent. Casting a new comer in such an important female lead role has backfired. She did perform well but lacks the Screen Presence to carry the role and convince the audience. Songs are a drag too.

Performances : Entire Cast Did well. Ajay, Shourya, Sana & Indraja, all did their parts well.

Songs & Background Music : 2 songs are good on screen. BGM is good in parts and is adequate.

Direction : Average. Could have been better in 2nd half.

Plus : Interval Block, Music & Performances.

Minus : Melodramatic & Confused 2nd Half.

Overall "Movie" Rating : 2.75 / 5 ( At your own Risk )

BoxOffice Verdict :

The film ain`t a different one altogether but has a novel story line and melodramatic narration which may not appeal to many. Thus The Box-office Prospects are limited.
