Review : Sikindar

Sikindar is a Routine Gangster Revenge Drama set in Mumbai.

Story :

Krishna ( Surya ) lands in Mumbai in search of his Gangster brother Raju Bhai. He meets all his Brother`s old Gangmates and Enemy`s. The film is all about Raju Bhai & His Friend`s Gangster adventures and how they ended up after giving a tit-for-tat to a Big Don!.


Performances:

Suriya did play both his 2 different dimensions well!. He is stylish & massy as Raju Bhai and did good underplay as Krishna!. Vidyut is a disappointment. Sam has limited scope to act and Her Glam Quotient is at a high in the film. The Baddies are adequate!.


Technical Departments

Music: Songs are Decent on screen and BGM is Okay.

Cinematography:  Nice, 1 of the positives!.

Editing: 170 Minutes is too much long.

Story,Screenplay & Direction : 

The film is fultoo Gangster Drama with a bit of romance then and there. It starts off on an okay note and the Romance part has been dealt with well. But the Mafia Angle has been pretty average and still 1st half is decent thanks largely to Romance & Songs!. Interval although a good one spoils any interest to be had in 2nd half with most of the story already out. It was below par 2nd half which hits the film badly in the end apart from its long 170 minutes duration. The film should have been dealt with in a better manner as far as screenplay goes. It has ended up as a highly routine revenge drama in the end.

Box-office Verdict:

The film was bought and sold at highest prices for a Surya film. It is highly unlikely to be a safe venture.
