ABO Mini Review : Arrambam

Arrambam is a stylish revenge drama. A very much watchable one if you don`t look out for logics.

Story:

A Guy who loses his close friend due to several lapses in system decided to teach them a lesson.

Performances:

Thala Ajith has simply rocked it with his style. Arya also gets important role, in fact the 1st 30 minutes is completely his show. Nayan & Rana are adequate and Taapsee is irritating. Kishore & Mahesh are apt although their characters haven`t been designed properly.

Music and BGM:

Title & Holi song are superb. BGM is okay to good especially in elevation scenes.

Technical Details:

Rich Visuals. Daring stunts & interesting action sequences. Editing should have been better.

Story, screenplay and Direction:

Predictable screen play heavily inspired from a popular Hollywood flick. 1st half of the film is good but 2nd half should have been better with some crisp editing. Director should have concentrated a bit more on substance than on style.

Plus:

Thala Ajith, Style, Action & Music.

Minus:

Slow second half & Predictable

Overall Verdict : 3 / 5

On the whole, the film more or less caters well to Hardcore Thala fans but the general audience if expected a lot will be disappointed. A better than average film for sure though.
