ABO Review : 'Shyam Singha Roy'

`Shyam Singha Roy` is a Nicely Packaged Emotional Drama!.

Story :

Vasu (Nani) ropes in Keerthi (Krithi Shetty) for a short film to showcase his talent to the Producers. He succeeds and bags a film which becomes a sensational Hit and he ends up receiving Bollywood Offers. When everything seems to be working well, a Kolkata based Publishing company files a case accusing him of copying all their books. What’s his connection to Kolkata and all these books forms the rest.

Performances:

Nani delivers a commendable performance in the Title role and is also convincingly good in the 2nd one. He adds lot of value with his subtle acting. Sai Pallavi is a class act and has come out with a graceful performance. Her dances are certainly delightful. Krithi Shetty is decent and Madonna is good. Rahul Ravindran, Abhinav, Jisshu, Murali Sharma and other supporting cast are more than adequate!.

Technical Departments:

Music: Decent Album and an even better Soundtrack.

Cinematography: Good.

Art : Stands Out!

Editing: Decent.

Stunts: Good.

Analysis :

`Shyam Singha Roy` is a Nice Package of Romance, Revolution and Reincarnation with Emotions largely working out in its favor. The 1st half of the film is good and enjoyable and the 2nd is decent with a Gripping finish. Rahul has succeeded in sustaining the interest through out albeit with some issues. On the flipside, Shyam deserved a better, convincing end in his own period. Nevertheless, this will keep us glued without compromising on the core plot and is a good one time watch!. Technical and Production Values are a delight!.

Box-office Verdict :

With all the uncertainty in AP, these are testing times for Tollywood. One can only hope and can`t predict a Good Success although this has some potential.
