Anna is a stylish lengthy action thriller which works big time for Tamil fans of Vijay.

Story : A Leader becomes messiah of his language people in Mumbai but the old enemies strike back. The Son back in India  actuallyfor his love`s sake decides to take over from the father.

Story & Screen Play : The story is good although inspired from several Hollywood & Bollywood mafia flicks. The director should have written a better screen play.

Performances : Vijay has carried his emotions pretty well as Lover, Son & Leader. Satyaraj & Amala Paul are also good. Santhanam is okay and the rest are adequate.

Songs & Background Music : The BGM of the film is perfect and elevates the film at times. But Songs aren`t that good and are speed breakers.

Direction : Average, would have been Superb if he executed the film by adding a few mass elements and reducing the length.

Plus : Dialogues, Pre Interval, Twists, Camera & BGM.

Minus : Lengthy, Songs & Screenplay.

Overall Movie Rating : 3.25 / 5 ( A Visual Treat for Vijay`s Tamil Fans ).

Anna was acquired and  released by B. Kasi Viswanadham of `Krishna` fame at a low cost compared with other Tamil Biggies. Vijay had two averages before with `Snehithudu` & Thuppakki in AP. Anna as far as content is concerned fall short of those two flicks. Lack of any notable Telugu releases at the Boxoffice might help the film reach break even or end up with a small loss.
