ABO Review : 'Pushpaka Vimanam'

‘Pushpaka Vimanam` : Dark Comedy Thriller!.



Story : 

Sundar (Anand Devarakonda), a school teacher gets married to Meenakshi (Geeth Saini). But shortly after, She elopes with someone else. Sundar tries to convince his near and dear that all is well by hiring a short film actress (Saanve) to play his real life wife. Why and What happened after Meenakshi leaves forms the rest.

Performances:

Anand Deverakonda has come out with the Best Better performance of his short career. Saanve Meghana steals the show and is here to stay. Geeth Saini is ordinary. Sunil and Naresh have interestingly good parts to play. Harshavardhan, Kireeti and other Supporting cast are adequate.

 

Technical Departments:
 
Music: Decent.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Good.



Analysis : 

`Pushpaka Vimanam` falls into the genre of Dark Comedy but with your typical Family emotions and all. The film`s 1st half is especially appealing and the 2nd feels like a little overstretched. The director aims to keep us guessing as well as entertained almost right through but the Climax reveal and 2nd half could have been handled better. The struggle of the protagonist after a point feels a little overstretched.  This can be tried for its good entertainment value.

Box-office Verdict : 

Own Release. Anything above 4 Cr Share can be considered as a Successful venture at the Box-office as well but it may not come close!.
