ABO Review : 'Maha Samudram'

‘Maha Samudram` : A Romantic Actioner which lacks connect!.

Story :

Two close friends, Arjun (Sharwanand) & Vijay (Siddharth) lead contrasting lives. Vijay lands himself into a dangerous situation and leaves Vizag without his supposed fiancée Maha (Aditi Rao Hydari). Her responsibility falls on Arjun who goes out of his way to help her out and also overcomes the dangers posed by opponents. But Vijay comes back!. How and Why forms the rest.

Performances:

Sharwanand did a good job with the right intensity. Siddharth makes a decent comeback and is good in a grey character. Rao Ramesh steals the show and Aditi has ample screen space and is adequate. Jagapathi Babu, Anu, KGF Garuda are okay.

Technical Departments:

Music: Major weak-link. Background score is better.

Cinematography: Good and is a Plus.

Editing: Decent.

Analysis :

`Maha Samudram` is a lavishly Made Romantic Actioner which aims to ride on the emotions of its lead characters but falters to evoke them in a convincing enough manner, leaving the audiences disconnected. The film’s core plot is time tested but needed an engrossing treatment, emotional highs with convincing subplots. But Instead it turned out to be a way below-par experience with amateurish narration which neither satisfies the masses nor critics.
