ABO Review : 'Aranya'

‘Aranya` is a Soul-less Forest Drama!.

Story :

Aranya (Rana) loves the forest, animals and has a great chemistry especially with a pack of Elephants. A Big Corporate Group led by an influential Politician decides to launch a Gated Community Project in the forest. This is opposed by Aranya as the Elephants won`t be able to roam freely. How he thwarts the Project forms the rest.

Performances:

Rana did his best but his efforts were in vain and the desired impact is missing. Vishnu Vishal has a very limited role which didn`t even deserve him. The Female leads and supporting cast are adequate.

Technical Departments:

Music: Average.

Cinematography: Decent.

Editing: Average.

Stunts : Decent.

Analysis :

`Aranya` aims to be a message oriented Drama on saving A Forest but the narration has been boringly flat with too many loose ends. The Pre-Climax portions are the only saving grace and the film has its focus more on propagating leftist beliefs than genuinely debating the pros and cons of Corporate Capitalism. `Aranya` needed an engaging narration with a gripping screen-play but neither has a soul nor convincing emotions.
