ABO Review : 'Game Over'

‘Game Over` is a psychological drama which manages to thrill.

Story :

Swapna (Taapsee) is a video game developer and works out of home. She has a traumatic past and keeps breaking down emotionally. Some revelations make her life even more of a mess and then comes the turn around. How she fights back her inner and outer demons forms the rest.

Performances:

Taapsee is Good, although there is nothing exceptional about this particular role, she still is an asset. Vinodini and Anish Kuruvilla are more than adequate. Sanchana, Ramya and T Parvathi have cameos.

Technical Departments:

Music: Major Plus.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Adequate.

Analysis :

`Game Over` is a Niche Movie touching multiple genres and is driven by a couple of events which are particularly tragic. The film even with such shorter duration might seem like a slow paced one, especially in the 1st half. The 2nd half of the film is where all the action happens and it is good and is thrilling enough. On the whole, `Game Over` is probably worth a watch for its thrills and the emotional under-current.
