ABO Review : 'Jersey '

`Jersey` is a Well Executed Sports Drama

Story :

Arjun (Nani) is a Struggling ex Cricketer (Hyderabad) who lives along with his wife Sara (Shraddha Srinath) and only son. He is a mess both financially and personally and is clueless about his future. But one fine day, he decides to test his luck once again. Rest is about how Arjun emerged as a successful Ranji cricketer despite heavy odds.

Performances:

Nani takes the film to a different level with his Natural Performance and is a Major plus. Shraddha Srinath is adequate and Satyaraj leaves a good impression. Rao Ramesh, Sampath and other supporting cast are fine.

Technical Departments:

Music: Good. Background score is an asset.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Good.

Analysis :

Jersey is a an emotional roller coaster ride of a Cricketer who struggled to balance his dreams with personal life. The 1st half of the film sets up the film nicely and the 2nd half is even better with a perfect climax and a fitting tribute. Nani`s Performance and (Genuine) Emotions have played a key role in making this a compelling and engaging watch despite minor flaws. This is a well executed sports film which makes you admire the characters and leaves you teary eyed.

Box-office Verdict :

With WW Theatricals at around 27 Crore, this should be a Hit and probably a bigger one.
