ABO Review : '118'

`118` is a Passable Investigative Thriller.

Story :

Gowtham (Kalyan Ram), an investigative journalist, keeps getting strangely realistic dreams about a girl (Nivetha) getting killed in a resort. He decides to explore the mystery and uncovers a big cover-up. What his dreams are all about forms the rest.

Performances:

Kalyanram is back to his basics with a concept based film and shines. Nivetha steals the show with a good performance. Shalini is alright. Prabhas Seenu, Rajeev Kanakala and other supporting cast are adequate

Technical Departments:

Music: Average. Background score is Good.

Cinematography: Adequate.

Editing: Good.

Analysis :

`118` marries an intriguing concept to a routine criminal conspiracy. The film`s 1st half is the better one and keeps the audience glued and guessing. The 2nd half is somewhat let down by an ordinary flash back episode and lack of any exciting twists towards the end. This is a Passable affair thanks to its Concept. You may try this.
