ABO Review : `Arjun Reddy'

`Arjun Reddy` is a Bold and Intense Romantic Drama.

Story :

Arjun Reddy (Vijay Sai) falls for Preethi (Shalini) and they connect instantly. Their Mad Love is rejected by Preethi`s parents since they prefer same caste marriages. An angry Arjun sets deadline for Shalini and asks to choose her next step. How did Arjun cope-up with the hard realities of life forms the rest.

Performances:

Vijay Sai Devarakonda has pulled off this with such effortlessness that it is almost impossible to visualize anyone other than him as `Arjun Reddy`. He has delivered a performance which will leave a strong impact on the audience even after leaving the theaters. Rahul Ramakrishna is another guy who will be remembered for this film and he plays a great side-act. Shalini is more than adequate in this Debut film.

Technical Departments:

Music: Background score stands-out and Songs are good on-screen.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Adequate.

Action: Limited, good.

Analysis :

Arjun Reddy is a New-age Bold and Intense Romantic Saga!. The film appeals supremely well to the present generation of youth and it is unapologetic-ally open about everything. Most part of the film runs in a conversational manner with well written dialogues. It`s characters are Brand new to Telugu Cinema and are going to take everyone by surprise especially if they haven`t seen the promos. The 1st half of the film which deals with Romance is especially great and the 2nd half is good with an unexpected climax which melts our hearts. The Depression Parts have also been shot well but some may find issues with the film`s length considering the eventual climax. Nevertheless this is a Damn good film in a long long time to come out of Tollywood leaving Baahubali Series aside.
