ABO Review : 'Nagaram'

`Nagaram` is a Watchable Thriller.

Story :

A Reckless Youth, an Angry Young Man, a Kidnap Gang and a Big Rowdy Group all get entangled in this story which runs in a Parallel manner. The film tracks how these individual stories unfold and how they all get connected to one Kidnap. This is all about the most happening 48 hours of their lives so far.

Performances:

There aren`t any Dominating lead actors in this film and every body has a decent enough character. Sundeep Kishan as a careless youth and Shri as an upcoming Techie did good. Regina and the Kidnap Gang are worth a mention.

Technical Departments:

Music: Ordinary, Background score is Good.

Cinematography: Adequate.

Editing: Adequate.

Analysis :

Nagaram is set in Chennai and it is the same in Telugu too. It would have been clearly artificial to say it is Hyderabad or Vizag considering the screen-play and the makers choose to go with Chennai. The film takes its own time in establishing characters in the 1st half and has a slow narrative style to almost every episode. Despite having a Good interesting screen-play, the 1st half is pretty average. The 2nd half is pretty good with all the characters crossing each other`s paths and it ends well. Suspense elements right through the 2nd half makes it an engrossing watch. A lot of hard work must have gone through in writing the screen-play for the film but little more care in Editing would have made this an outright good one. And there are nativity issues too for Telugu audience with the film being high on Roads and Landmarks Mentions. This can be watched for its good screenplay.
