`Savitri`, is an Unexciting Commercial Entertainer.
Story: Savitri (Nandita) is a Village Belly who is crazy about Marriage and doesn`t hold much interest in Love. She Meets Rishi (Nara Rohit) on a Train Trip and he instantly falls for her. Savitri who`s marriage is more or less fixed ignores Rishi`s advances and proposals but there lies the twist in the tale with they are destined for each other.
Analysis : `Savitri` isn`t a Bad film. It has a Routine and highly Repeated Template of this Decade. Thus It hardly has anything interesting apart from the Comedy which saved the film to an extent. Nara Rohit for the 1st time in his Hit-less career tried his luck with a Commercial Entertainer. He has pulled off Major parts with a fine performance but is let down by the highly predictable subject. Savitri can be tried if you have lots of time to kill, other wise wait for the TV Premiere which is sure to be soon.
Performances:
Plenty of fine performances. Nara Rohit, Murali Sharma, Ajay and Nandita did well.
Songs & Background Music : Music is ordinary and but the Background score is Pretty Good.
Stunts : Okay.
Direction : is Ordinary.
Plus : Entertainment and Family Emotions.
Minus : Routine Template and Lack of Chemistry.
Overall Movie Rating : 2.75 / 5
Box-Office Verdict : Has scope to be an Average Earner at best but it is more likely to be a Failure.
