ABO Review : Ganga

`Ganga`, the 3rd instalment in the Muni Franchise is a Mass Horror comedy which caters quite well to the target audience.

Story :

It is almost the same as the earlier one. `Ganga` is a ghost who starts haunting a TV Channel`s Crew after the latter disturb her peace and lay their and hands on a thing which is very special to the Ghost & Co.

Analysis :

It is a Critic`s nightmare to review films like `Ganga` when every thing is cliched but still manages to hold interest and appeals to majority of audience thanks to the Horror element. Ganga comes with Horror Comedy in 1st half and Mass Horror in 2nd half with a High-voltage Climax. The film initially is tad boring and starts getting interesting once the Presence of `Ganga` starts making its impact felt on screen. From then till before the main Story of Flash-back the film is in a different zone but the flashback and later climax have been quite ordinary. In the end it is a decent film and appeals well to its target audience. Well, this is not it yet, in the end we were shown a teaser image of Muni-4!!.

Performances :

Lawrence is at ease with Both his main Character and other shades such as Gundu Siva etc. Taapsee did surprisingly good and is more than adequate. Nithya Menen as `Ganga` is fine. Supporting Cast are adequate.

Technical Details :

`Ganga` has a couple of Decent tracks which are shot adequately well. The Sound Track could have been better and has a Hurried Feel. Camera work is Okay and the film is Edited well. Stunts are over the top and it is expected considering Mass/Horror Genre.

1. Muni Brand.

2. Performances.

3. Horror.

Minus :

1. Clichéd Narration.

2. Same Old subject ( as Kanchana ).

Overall Movie Rating : 3 / 5

BoxOffice Verdict :

The film is already doing well and has scope to do Good business in Mass Centres.
